Davin Hutchins has twelve years experience in television journalism and has worked with CNN, CNN International, Headline News, Reuters, BBC World, IRIN News, Witness.org, Internews and TechTV. His assignments have taken him to Egypt, Sudan, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Turkey, Kuwait, Jordan, Oman, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Iceland, France, Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands as well as locations throughout the United States. Hutchins directed The Art Of Flight, his debut feature documentary which was featured at AFI Fest, International Documentary Festival Amsterdam and Bangkok International Film Festival. He also works with developing world broadcasters to build their skills in Web 2.0 technologies and streaming video. A staunch advocate of independent journalism, social entrepreneurship guerrilla filmmaking and new digital video technologies, Hutchins launched NomadsLand to create a platform for films that matter, putting the power of distribution and marketing films in the hands of filmmakers. Hutchins holds a Master of Arts Degree in Middle East Studies from the American University in Cairo and two Bachelors of Arts Degrees in Journalism and History from California State University: Fresno. He has researched extensively on political Islam, human rights in the Middle East and political and economic developments in the Arab world. He reads and writes classical and colloquial (Egyptian) Arabic. In addition to his work at NomadsLand, Hutchins is also Managing Producer at the American News Project (www.newsproject.org) in Washington D.C.

Frank Hamilton has over seven years experience in designing, developing and managing websites and multimedia content. As a designer, he has crafted clear and creative user experiences that are based on a solid understanding of web standards and design best practices. As a developer, he has built content management systems that make both performance and usability a priority. Before joining NomadsLand.com, Frank held the position of Senior Web Producer at WAMU 88.5 FM, the fourth largest NPR affiliate in the U.S. where he was brought in to redesign the station's Internet services. Prior to WAMU, Frank worked as a producer, multimedia designer and video editor in Chicago, IL for Juneteenth Productions. He continues to produce original and client content under his own company, havahula.org.

Andrew and Genevieve are the co-authors of The Documentary Film Makers Handbook and the best selling The Guerrilla Film Makers Handbook series. Andrew and Genevieve are also working filmmakers whose projects have been seen on MTV, PBS, BBC, ITV and Channel 4 UK. Andrew also served as Director/Producer of the documentary Backyard Racers about kids who want to be racecar drivers and prodced of the documentary film Women On The Water, which followed women trying to make an Olympic team. Genevieve has written, produced, and distributed award-winning low-budget feature films in the UK for the past seven years. Her awards include The Centerpiece Film of the London Film Festival, British Independent Film Award nominations for Best Director and Best Film, as well as earning her a place on Variety's list of Top Ten Directors to watch.

Dhruv Dhawan was born in Bombay and studied in Dubai and the United States. In 2003, Dhawan relocated to the Middle East to develop documentary content within the region. In 2005 he directed, From Dust, a critically acclaimed feature documentary which was nominated for the best documentary award at the Tribeca Film Festival and Hot Docs. From Dust was acquired by prominent networks such as Showtime and NHK and is distributed internationally by Films Transit and The Cinema Guild in New York. It became the first film made in the Middle East to screen at the United Nations.

Stephen is a producer and writer of television programs for national and international distribution. He recently produced Deadlock: Russia's Forgotten War for CNN Presents in collaboration with reporter Michael Gordon of The New York Times. The documentary won a 2002 CINE Golden Eagle Award. Since 1992 he has written and produced 45 documentaries broadcast on PBS covering a wide range of military and foreign policy topics. In his twelve years of experience as a video editor and videographer, he has produced award-winning documentaries on topics as diverse as child combatants in Sierra Leone, the Cuban military, and landmine survivors in Cambodia. He currently writes and produces for Azmiuth Media's global affairs TV series Foreign Exchange with Fareed Zakaria. John Poole, Director/Producer johnpoole [at] nomadsland.com John W. Poole has covered stories of local, national and international importance in his seven years as a washingtonpost.com videojournalist. He has covered elections in South Africa and the United States, the first same-sex marriages in Massachusetts, the opening of the Museum of the American Indian and the unlikely success of a local high school’s marching band. He has received more than 20 awards for videography and editing from the White House News Photographers Association and in 2005 was named Television Editor of the Year.

Natasha has worked at the George Washington University Documentary Center for the past five years. She serves as Associate Producer on the Center's films as well as handles the day to day operations of the Center and its Institute. Over the past decade, her personal credits have included, CNN, Bunim Murray Productions, National Geographic, Discovery, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Brave New Films and Associated Producers.
